About Hiden Isochema

Hiden Isochema is a world leader and specialist in the design and manufacture of gas and vapour sorption instruments for research, development and production applications in surface chemistry and materials science.

We offer a range of gravimetric and manometric instruments to characterize and prove new products and materials. Typical applications include the measurement of sorption isotherms, surface area and porosity, hydration analysis and the determination of diffusion coefficients and vapour permeation. We are also specialists in the measurement of multicomponent sorption whereby preferential sorption, separation and breakthrough can be observed using a dynamic sorption system in conjunction with an integrated Hiden mass spectrometer. A wide range of gases and vapour can be used.

Our IGA and IMI sorption analyzers are firmly established as market leaders and are used in many high profile academic, R&D and manufacturing environments within the UK and worldwide. A number of different models are available, providing gas, vapour and multi-species mixture sorption capabilities at pressures up to 200 bars, under a range of temperatures. We also offer a contract measurement service at our UK headquarters.
