EMS Travel Awards to Euromembrane 2012

EMS encourages the participation of students in important scientific events by offering travel awards. The amount given varies with the distance to be travelled and typically between 200 and 500 euro are given to each awardee.

The EMS Travel Awards to Euromembrane 2012 will be given to a number of presenting students according to the following guidelines:

Eligibility: The Awards are intended for students who are EMS members and are the presenting author of either oral or poster presentations. Proof of acceptance of the aforementioned paper is therefore required, including the abstract reference number. A proof of studentship or certificate from the sending institution indicating the candidate is a student is also needed.

Application: Candidates should submit a copy of their documents (proofs of paper acceptance and proof of studentship) accompanied by a cover letter detailing in not more than 150 words their motivation.

Nominations will be reviewed by a panel of referees with final decisions made by the EMS Council. Selected candidates will be contacted by the end of June. Transfer of the funds corresponding to the grants will only be made after Euromembrane 2012 organizers confirm the registration. Awardees agree, upon submitting the application, to write a short report on the conference to be published on the EMS Membrane News.
